DOLPHIN WATCHING

The Sado's Estuary River has a diversity animal species being their natural habitat. During all the year the Sado River has tourist affluence for watching the dolphins (Roazes). A family of roazes lives in Sado River during all the year. It's possible to watching them along Arrábida coast, especially during the winter.

The dolphins enchant the observers but they are a big torment for local fishermen.

 

Our activity starts in Sesimbra (coast side) towards Sado River and also provides the observation of various coastal animals’ species such as bottlenose dolphins, common dolphins and even dwarf whales.

 

Our guide on board has knowledge on marine environment, biodiversity of this area and about local geology and archaeological. Our guide presents a didactic explanation during all the activity. It is a wonderful experience for watching the dolphins and other animal species and learns about biodiversity and local culture and history.
